Puzzled by the approach to the ‘illegal race’ in Bristol, with 700 (or thousands) attending and refusing to leave.
Yes, the organisers will be hit with fines, but will the attendees also get fined? Or a stiff talking to and sent on their way?

Seems the SW infection rate is on the way up.

Sent on their way I would imagine. They will be young people so they will end up paying for this entire mess at some point.

The numbers from Bristol council this week showed numbers slowing down, not the same rate of increase that has been happening for the last month. Bristol being the main cause of any cases in South West region.

Reads like a trip back to the 90s - got rather confrontational. Police reviewing footage.

I was wondering what I’d missed too - so many unruly runners! Thanks for making me smile um.

Just chatting to my parents on the phone.... Sadly we agree that whatever restrictions are in place, the same people will ignore them. Whether that's Tier 1 or lockdown. And meanwhile swimming pools are closed, and kids in the same school bubble can't go to the park after school.

I was thinking, "Someone boldly organised a 700-person race? I know it's wrong, but I have a sneaking admiration."

I think I will blame my phone for that, not my fingers.
If it was a race, it started at 10:30pm Saturday and was still going this morning ....
(despite power being cut off to the building)
