Hopefully the government in Scotland will stick to the guidelines they issued last week and come into effect on Monday and give them a chance to work. Sorry England hope this November lockdown works and brings down infection rates. We have just had a cancellation on our holiday property so advise not to travel unnecessarily is being heeded. |

Scientists say it should go up to Christmas IDS is complaining that Boris gave in to the scientists 😮 With education still open the drop will be slower than before which is why it’s 4 weeks not the initially suggested 2 but tbh I think 6 would be better and that still gets you time before Christmas Problem is will people adhere to lockdown then go woo hoo Christmas crack on as you were meaning January will be worse and onwards shocking |

We know things never run smoothly so I wonder what the biggest row will be this week? My bet is that schools and universities will be pressing to close as well, and they could yet be another u turn.

I still don't know what they intend to do about all the students wishing to go home for Christmas. That one is coming up soon and my guess is it won't be pleasant, whatever happens.

well if they do close the universities they could all try to drift off home now - that might be even worse

Uni can and should go online Whilst teaching online quarantine students for 2 weeks bubble test then send home Stay teaching online into 2021 Not ideal but a solution Problem would be getting students to stay out especially as some have shown that a party life is essential to uni 😏 |

a lot of uni stuff does seem to be online already - your suggestion is very logical - maybe two tests a week apart ? but they would need to be bubbled/isolating properly..
