Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My understanding is it was for England only.

Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland all have their own strategies. That's right and proper given that health is a devolved matter.

To date, they all seem to have done a better job than Boris has for England.

Time will tell.

I know that all the nations currently have their own strategy. There was speculation a page or 2 back that Sturgeon might follow suit and impose a Scottish lockdown. I’m really hoping it isn’t necessary and the tier system works.

Orkney going into Level 1 (of Levels 0 to 4) from Monday. Imagine going to them now and saying they've to go into lockdown (Level 4+).

I’ve just remembered my car’s MOT is due before the end of November. I guess that’s going to be a valid reason to leave home - unless we are going to get an extension again?

Tim, the stats I have seen dont seem to suggest that there is much difference between any of the nations in terms of cases and deaths. Orkney might be in a low level but so is Cornwall, but that doesn't stop it from going into lockdown.

alpenrose - if it's a 1-1 with your PT in a public place I think it should still be ok.

Frag - unless something comes out in the detail there didn't seem to be as much emphasis on staying at home and the garages should still be open. I expect to be able to get my MOT sorted.

AR - I was going to say the same as LMH. if PT is 1:1 I can't see why that can't do go ahead, as long as it's in a public place and not in a private garden.

Half pint- not really. The urban parts of Scotland are the same as the urban parts of England. The rural parts are also the same. And Northern Ireland is the worst of all.
