@KatieB - that wouldn't surprise me if that was the case, and I suppose in the absence of any specific guidance that should be the default position I suppose. Not great for the three people I know who will have what will feel like a pointless week of SI!

Thanks both Katie & LMH!

Or for my hubbies mates on the boat with him. His isolation ends on the day they come ashore but those with him it will be later

Just went to the hairdresser. No masks though I was told I could wear one if I wanted. Windows and doors open. Then went to the bank and it was all pretty chilled out, half and half masks and not. All kind of weird! Most people in town eating outdoors though since the weather is ok

Lot fewer masks in London than on my last visit. Particularly on the trains

Tubes are still pretty high mask rates, trains a bit less than before, DLR you’re outnumbered if you wear one. Kind of interesting watching things change. It does seem dumb being maskless in a busy pub then wearing one in a huge supermarket

My hairdresser has retained their mask policy which they outlined before the latest restrictions lifted. The turkish barber a few doors down has never, ever had anyone wearing masks throughout the whole pandemic.

um
I did see a suggestion in today's paper that trains should have 'masks mandatory' and 'masks optional (ie no masks)' carriages.

Wonder if that would work?
