I have received a letter advising that as I am immunosuppressed, any 12-17 years I have contact with can get vaccinated.

This is good news:
Waiting lists are reducing rapidly! Even I, all cancer treatment and screening cancelled, have now been called up for the urgent mammogram and MRI I was supposed to have in March 2020... Thankfully, the lump in my breast has disappeared on its own accord or gotten small enough I can no longer feel it...

That is good news on both fronts Hann hopefully you mammogram & mri gives some confirmation too.

On masks I’m still seeing a high proportion of people wearing them in the few shops I’ve been too. Pubs less so when moving around, we went for a family meal last night we all wore them to/from our tables but a few didnt. Staff all had them on. Whereas our local pub staff aren’t wearing them now and people moving weren’t neither.

My parents & aunt & uncle are getting a train to come to the boat with us next week. My uncle is nervous having been hospitalised with covid last year. Ive just said keep the window open and wear your masks but a good point of someone sits near without they could look to move. I’m hoping a mid week mid morning train will be quiet but Fridays return is 6.30pm so could be busier.

First Scottish Parkrun. First run as MV60-64. There was wind. There was rain. No matter. Just great to me back. Now to work on fitness lol.

Sue and I did Beveridge Park run in Kirkcaldy.
Two and a half loops. Atmosphere was great.

I am guessing Loch Ore was lovely. We've walked around it. Once you get away from the main leisure area, it is super pretty.

Tim, I was overruled in the choice of parkrun yesterday but we're planning to stay at the same campsite next year so I plan to do Kirkcaldy then. Loch Ore was very pretty.

Beveridge is a great park, I've run and marshalled it (with my 84 year old mother - marshalled not ran!) So nice to be back parkrunning. :-) G

So what are the thoughts on the new isolation rules ( England) that come in today? Is it going to cause a rise in case? Will it put the vulnerable in a dangerous position?

I'm glad we stay in Scotland!

My household are all currently self isolating waiting results of PCR tests, having been contacted by track & trace yesterday. None of us would be happy going out and about knowing we could unknowingly pass it on to others.
