Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Thinking about it maybe they have to ask stupid questions because there are people who need to have things explained again?

I think the problem is that the people who watch the briefing aren't the ones who need the rules explained. It's the ones who never watch TV, or the news, and generally do what they want.

We are also careful about other people. e.g I just picked up a 77 year old to be vaccinated. Got her to sit in the back seat as far away as possible from me. We both wore masks and I opened the window a wee bit.

The Zoe thing had antivaxx nuts, trolls, the dishonest "just asking questions" types and generally dull people in the comments. I often wonder what people did in junior school to not know really basic ideas.

Like Dido Harding alleging that no-one could have predicted the virus mutating?

As someone pointed out on twitter, there's a BBC Bitesize GCSE biology module which covers virus mutation. She did PPE, not quite so useful.

"Who could have predicted that?" Implying the answer "everyone with a brain" has become so axiomatic that you wonder about anyone who says this unironically.

Weather absolutely horrible. But couldn't resist a couple of hours walking the coast path. Freezing cold and wet through. But worth it to see the huge waves crashing on the dark rocks

That men v women graph might just be a reflection of cardiovascular and respiratory health of men v women or a general reflection of the fact men die before women and covid exacerbates that...

I see Piers Morgan has blocked someone for saying they didnt clap for Tom last night.
Wow. I suppose he wants a clap for going to Antigua for Christmas too.
