Hi there,
I am a new user looking for support and social interaction with others trying to get fit with a chronic illness.
I have EDS/Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome/POTS. I have just ordered a garmin and desperately want to get fit to hopefully improve my symptoms.

Hi Pixiemumma, welcome to Fetch. I also don’t know much about the conditions you have. Good luck with your training to get fit. I’m sure that someone on the site will be able to offer some advice.

Hi Pixiemumma. Welcome to fetch.
I don’t have either condition but know a bit about them. Have you seen a physio who specialises in those conditions? Someone I know of with both found it helpful to see a one who was specialist in those conditions to help with exercises to build exercise tolerance and protect the joints.
I hope you find some useful ways forward.

Welcome to Fetch Pixiemumma. Sorry I can't offer any advice on those specific conditions. I have a different chronic condition, lymphoedema, which was diagnosed a couple of years ago.

Hi there. Just bumping this back up the forum in case there's anyone out there who can provide advice.
I guess all I would say is don't try to do too much too soon. Stay well within your limits at first, until you learn more about what you can and can't cope with. Good luck!
