I hope to drop by on Christmas Day to see how everyone’s getting on.
We have the in-laws already here for Christmas. Mr S will be cooking and I’ll be sous chef for turkey and all the trimmings in our gorgeous new kitchen.
We’ve invited two good friends that we’ve made in the last two years as this will be the first year that their kids will be at their Dad’s on Christmas Day.
Should be a nice day and I’ll volunteer to take the dog out if it all gets a bit much!

The tree is up, it is actually a pile of tinsel and lights to cover up how rank the old thing is. If it were a real tree it would be felled and composted. Travel/arrangements back up in the air, staff sickness at the good old NHS!

In The Netherlands for Xmas for the first time in 3 years (OH is Dutch and her parents and sister’s family live in NL). We arrived a couple of days ago and we’re staying for Xmas, and it’s nice to be over here. My Dutch is terrible though, but improving slowly, and I find it improves quicker when everyone is talking Dutch around me.

I'm booked in the pool for a swim pre visit to family for lunch. Home alone after that so will be in here to say hello and get some company

Course check before Christmas day parkrun. Then I’m hosting for the second year in a row (a downside of buying a bigger house! ) Uncle will stay over then we’ll do a wee run together on Boxing Day.

Just the two of us on the boat this year. Weather dependent we’ll pop out for a quick cruise. Probably Boxing Day, but still checking out the availability of the local hostelries….
