Our plans for the day itself have changed tonight. OH and I would normally separately go to our own families, then have another Xmas lunch together later. This year, OH's parents don't really want people in the house as F-i-L is waiting for an operation and they've already been super paranoid about Covid. So OH was going to come out to my family on Xmas day, then we'd have our on Boxing Day. However, sister called tonight to say B-i-L won't get home from offshore before Xmas as his back-to-back has Covid! So it's now snacky stuff on Saturday with my family, then a full Xmas lunch on Hogmanay!

The turkey arrived yesterday afternoon and, although mostly defrosted, it was still quite cold. I’m fairly confident it will be ok to consume still. I guess the temperature in DPD’s depot wouldn’t be much higher than a fridge at the moment…

I don't like tonic but I do find I need more gin than the normal. I've had Gordon's and Clean Gin
