I'm signed up. Are we allowed to kick any dogs we meet into the lake? |

what?!! dogs??!! I'm not coming then - I'm absolutely petrified of them and they're the only reason all my routes are along main roads |

HB, I am sure the dogs will be on leads and if not the vocal encourangement form the owner "He's friendly and wont bite you" should calm your nerves

Anytime I have met dogs around the park they have always been friendly. Owners are required to keep their dogs on leads within the park anyway. 'tis law |

Allegedly the Northern loop is closed today to stop people wandering onto the ice!! Natural selection I call it. |

cambridge-news.co.uk front page story, no less if the dogs are on leads I'll be able to cope, though the park bloke in the article seems to suggest that they might not be |

HellsBells, I'm not keen on dogs either but have never had a problem in MCP. Anyway, kick...splash...sorted!! |

Dogs have to be on leads in parts of MCP but can be walked off lead north of the 13th public drain (wherever that is!). I've never met any unfriendly dogs there and I think a big group of runners would probably be a bit daunting for them anyway! They should steer clear of us!

Hells, I will check the park's policy on dogs. I'm pretty certain they do have to be kept on leads whilst at the park. Just so you're aware, we are planning to allow runners to run with their dogs if they wish to, however they must keep their animals on short leads, under control and stay to one side of the path (where possible) at all times. I gather the main reason for the northern loop being closed is that it's not obvious where the banks end and the lakes begin. That and I think a few halfwits have been playing on the ice. To the best of my knowledge the park has now been fully reopened. |
