There is a video I think for wrist pain or similar which I found helpful in terms of thinking about how to place hands.

Day 2 completed. I'm all planked out as I did a fairly tough upper body and core Hiit session earlier. Will continue with days 3 and 4 as they come - but glad I only have walking and sprinting to contend with otherwise.

I was fine with Day 2 but feel it might be a wee bit challenging for complete beginners. Have we any beginners?

Also make sure your fingers are spread nice and wide to take some of the weight from Downward dog...imagine your fingertips are suction cups to help spread the weight. The wrists shouldn't be taking all of the weight.

Nice visualisation Garfield! I prefer it to Adriene's 'claw the fingertips'.

I think that video uses suction cup analogy as well iirc.

I admit to being a bendy sort of person (even at nearly 67 years old, HELP!) so the shapes are rarely a problem for me - but I DO have to work on strength and stability which are often the flip downside of being almost hypermobile.

I’m in :-) - have played around with her ‘30 days’ videos before but never as they are released, so there’ll obviously be less chance to pick and choose which day i do. It’ll be interesting to see how it works out.

Did day 1 yesterday, day 2 this morning.... - i was kinda assuming i’d be a day behind throughout because of time difference between uk and texas, on top of the fact that i tend to do yoga in the morning when the house is a bit quieter...! But yes it is also only 30 days rather than 31...

Glad most of the videos this time are under 30mins as that is normally the sort of time (and adrienne limit ;) ) that i have available.

Thanks for the tips, I'll take a look at the video and I saw another Adriene video concerning the Downward Dog, I'll take a look at that too.

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
In January 2016 fraggle decided to follow Adriene (of Yoga with Adriene fame -only she wasn't 'quite' so famous back then). It was the start of Adriene's second 30 Days of Yoga and fraggle started a thread and asked anyone interested to join in. I did, I completed the 30 days and I got a PB fpr my 60 metres at the end of it so it was certainly not detrimental....

ANYWAY

Fancy joining in with this year's 30 day programme - 'Home'?

Here's the link to Adriene's site, the link for 'Home' is right at the top
