You should have ticked 'novice' on your entry form somewhere? Then they can put your results in with the novice group. If not - do it next time!

Oh, how long are you a novice for??? Provisional results are on the website, but it does not give any categories or winners... :-(

My friend maddy said I'd probably have won the novice... if only I had know that yesterday, I'd have stayed for the prize giving :-( I thought I had done failry badly. I am such an idiot sometimes!!!

Been looking at where there is room for improvement and will experiment with the feeding on the bike thing...

I think it's 2 races but check on the BTF website. Maybe give them a call to see where you would have come in novices out fo interest?

Hann I used to ride cyclo-x when I was 'younger'. great fun in the winter. when it gets sticky and muddy running helps a lot. Season ussually starts in September and you can use a mtb for most races, but a specialist bike speeds things along. very cheap entry fees normally, with races up to 1hour. The great thing about is that everyone finishes on the same lap as the winner, so if your lapped you don't have to continue to do the extra laps.

What about duathlons, they look very respectable.

Will send them an e-mail Jude, as I am interested to know :-)

PL, I like the look of the cyclo-x bikes, so will probably buy one... any excuse for another bike will do :-) I have an MTB, but never used it... bought it 2nd hand of a friend, so no loss there :-)

I did my first AUDAX at the weekend. 100km....really good event, no timings so just do it to tick off the distance. It was a fantastic route through the North Hampshire downs...Andover, Winchester, basingstoke..all small country lanes.
Will be back to do more :-)
