Bummer. Went out for a ride today. Looking down at bike computer as it wasn't doing anything bang, bump clatter, have cycled over a lump of frozen mud. Oh hope I haven't got a p*ncture, very bumpy ride for all of 2 seconds when I realised oh shite back tyre gone. Gets off bike to take tyre off and replace it, can't get the fecking tyre off. :( Hitched a ride with a stranger to 1/4 mile from home, had to walk home form there in my bike shoes. Hope I haven't wrecked my cleats.

I possibly could have got it off if I had been harder, but I don't know if I would have got it back on again after changing tyre

Thanks Han!! IT'S v scarey!!!!
Spoke to an Ironman friend of ours yesterday and he gave us loads of tips but it's made it feel very real now. I think I'll be lucky to do it in 4h30 but with my dodgy right foot finishing will be a result in itself. Planning nutrition and hydration now to cope with the temp/humidity and unknown distances. Gulp
