Lol Cstar,

Does biking 🚴‍♀️ improve running form?? I did a marathon yesterday and my legs were on top form despite not ran a marathon in 6 months, i was surprised that i was running faster than normal and keeping up with a decent pace when i will normally be struggling especially in the heat, so it appears that the 21.44 miles on the bike on Friday has help me yesterday to have an enjoyable marathon 😁😁😁 i will take that

Not sure. I think it helps a bit, but I certainly find my running drops off if I focus too much on the bike. Different muscles in use. I'll let you know after my triathlon in 2 weeks time ;-)

They help each other in the sense that one is cross training for the other. You focus on different muscles, different stresses and can differ type of training more easily whilst still working your CV system. This can help your muscles recover whilst retaining or improving fitness if you blend the two well.

Biking doesn't improve running FORM in the slightest, but it can be useful supplementary training for runners for a variety of other reasons.

Velo - I am pretty sure Toks meant "running form" in relation to how "well" she is running relative to effort, rather than the body shape/movements "form" during running.

Hello fetchies,

9 miler bike ride done today and navigating challenging hills repeatedly during the lap ride in the park, getting more confident on the bike, going around bends and trying not to fall over and knock people over too, loving it very much and weather wasn’t to bad either 😍😍😍

hope everyone is having a nice day 😁

Is that fell over twice and only skittled three today, Toks ;-)

Glad you are having fun :-) I had a nice coastal bike ride yesterday, in the general vicinity of a couple of Fetchies, and with not bad weather.
