Black is a better colour. Silver shows the dirt.

It seems bicycles don't come with pedals these days !!!
So any suggestions?
Looks like a wide choice.
Glenners what did you go for?

I use SPD cleats lammo so will get pedals to suit. On my current bike I have combi pedals so I can ride in normal shoes for commuting purposes, but will probably get double sided SPD for the new one - I'm not likely to ride it to the pub.

Right I think I've found shoes and pedals now, let's hope they connect when I try them

Incidentally lammo, it's not connecting the shoes to the pedals that's the problem. It's disconnecting them in a hurry that matters.

Worry more about your first set of traffic lights. It's important to hit the deck with a certain amount of style.

I nearly hit the deck in comedy fashion yesterday - I tried to track stand on my commuter, and forgot there was considerable overshoe/mudguard overlap! Nearly kicked myself over!
Chain gang tonight. Tough when people drop out of the line and you have to close gaps into a strong headwind. I also wonder if I could do with learning to push a bigger gear - on the 'go for it' climb (2.7km @3%) I apparently had an average cadence of 103 and hit 137 at one point. Rode most off my wheel, but isn't going to help develop the force I need on the flat.
