HOD what about upgrading the wheels and/or tyres on the ridgeback so that it will make it more off road?

could be sound investment, and then spend more on a good bike for lejog and tri's.

not sure what your wheels can take but some 29-42C (width of tyre) can take some canal and towpath rides. You need a wide rim 18mm+ to take these tyres. A good bike shop should advise.

Anyone interested? I'll set up a mini league if so.

Not very fast. It hasn't got any pedals.
In all seriousness, it looks bloody amazing.
I've always liked Colnago. Ride one and see if it fits.
Then just buy the bally thing

Local bike shop got a 52cm in the shop 105 groupset £2000 but i'm pretty confident of getting it cheaper. Especially as they already got £750 of my money waitting to be spent.
