I think that is probably the Bero recipe, Linds, as it's the same as my handwritten one.
I still haven't made the Christmas cake or the pudding. Should go see if there are any eggs on the honesty stall over the green...

I agree with Linds re parkin (and her recipe is v similar to mine although I heap the ginger, use more oatmeal to self raising, and use muscavado sugar if I've got it.

Parkin definitely benefits from being left for a few days. Thanks for the recipe Linds, looks good. Only issue is that I don't have a 7" square tin. May have to make a thinner one in my 8" square.
I can't see why anyone would be panic buying xmas pudding/cake ingredients EP.
Sharkie - I usually double the ginger in a recipe.
