Wriggling Snake
2 christmas puds made...christmas cake just this minute gone in the oven...A bit of time on my hands as all sports facilities at the uni closed...the students iseda bit of that spare energy last night I see.
Also inadvertently discovered that there are no Fetchies with the word baking in their name so I am seriously considering changing my name to Baking Snake.

Sourdough at the pre-shape stage, final shape soon and into the fridge until about 8am tomorrow. Breakfast at 10 will mainly be a crusty hunk spread with butter.

I'm not sure I like the sound of that!
Forgot about parkin. Must make that too.

I like Baking Snake
I cracked and had a slice of my Parkin this afternoon - lovely if I say so myself.
Considering making mincemeat for the first time tomorrow using a Mary Berry recipe that has butter instead of suet - much easier than trying to find a gf veggie suet and I suspect more to my taste too. If I do make that I may well bake a mincemeat cake.

I made mincemeat last year - first time ever so I went with Delia. I still have at least one jar left, and Christmas puddings, so no advance Christmas baking for me this year.

I know this sounds silly but it's sterilising the jars that worries me.
