Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

OH has a list he's going to make this weekend - soda bread, scones and pizza dough. I managed to get caster sugar at Aldi last night, so can also bake at some point.

Do people just use standard lemons for zest? I won't use waxed ones, and now I find unwaxed ones are sprayed with fungicides.

This means I can't make my favourite Dan Leppard lemon drizzle cake with oatmeal in it, unless I can get organic lemons. Which I can't as I'm only shopping at my local village shop.

Should I just not worry and use conventional waxed and fungicided kemons?

I just wash mine jacdaw. I like the sound of a lemon drizzle with oatmeal in - do you have a link to the recipe please?

Nice that your OH bakes too i_w. Do you each have your areas of expertise?

I washed mine too. The recipe said to use unwaxed lemons, so I did.

It says that you can grin rolled oats to use Rosehip so you should be fine but oatmeal is readily available.

That is a LOT of sugar!

LMH - OH tends to be the bread maker and I tend to be the fancy/sweet baker :)
