I have a fair selection, 8-10 I'd say off the top of my head, but I've never had quinoa flour. Unless the supermarket stocks it (unlikely I'd have thought) I shall try the recipe with just buckwheat until I get to the health food shop though it looks as though H&B might stock it so I will check in there.

I think Tesco sell it in tiny little pots, like baking powder!

None in H&B. The little Dove's Farm ones Lizzie? Expensive way to do it but I may buy one of those so that I can try the recipe - no point ending up with a big bag if I'm not going to use it.

One of the issues I’ve had with the H&B flours is that some of them state “may contain wheat/gluten”. Not had a look recently though. I’m sure with my new kitchen and lots of storage space I’ll be collecting more flours to experiment with.
I made some cookies with teff flour and ground almond which I liked. The ingredients weren’t cheap though!

It depends how sensitive you are Pen. I'm fortunate in that it's only wheat gluten that does for me (including spelt) I can eat ordinary oats and bits of rye and barely whereas my friend's daughters are coeliac and can't even eat gf oats.

I was diagnosed coeliac in January. So have to be careful even though I don’t necessarily get symptoms (diagnosis was a surprise!) I seem to be ok on gf oats thankfully.

Even as a diagnosed coeliac your tolerance may be higher or lower Pen. Some people can't eat Pizza Express gf pizza because it's prepared in the same kitchen as the ordinary ones whereas others will tolerate the little bit of cross contamination so it's a case of trial and error I'm afraid. The H&B (and other) 'may contain' warning is generally because they are processed in a factory which also processes the contaminant rather than because they are actually likely to have any in them.

Just thought I'd report that I made the brioche from the Coeliac Society website in my bread maker this morning for the first time. Definitely a sweet bread (maybe a little too much for my liking, I'd probably try with 100g of honey next time and possibly reduce from there) with a cakey texture and very nice for a change. I don't think it really needed the dark crust setting as it came out quite dark indeed. It would make lovely French Toast or bread pudding.
I decided I couldn't justify £29 a kilo for quinoa flour(!) but I intend to try the linseed loaf without it next time I bake ordinary bread.
