I'm visiting Australia for the first time this April and happen to be in Canberra on the weekend of the marathon, so of course I just had to sign up. I see there is a parkrun (Burley Griffin) in the city, so will aim to do that on the Saturday. It seems to be only a short run from the city centre. I imagine there may be one or two other marathoners in town that weekend who will do the same.

I haven't yet made it Canberra so I can't help with the best parkrun there but would welcome some feedback here on the event afterwards.

But ... signs are looking good for being in Melbourne on a Saturday morning in November. Second attempt to log a Southern Hemisphere parkrun coming up.

I can recommend Albert Park parkrun in Melbourne, but if that isn't convenient I am sure the others are just as good.

Burleigh Griffin in Canberra is fantastic. The kangaroos were up at 07:00 on the walk to the start from the city centre.
