Just back from Sydney. I got a bit of a shock because I was expecting to parkrun at 8am local time and found out the night before the parkrun I was planning to go to (Mosman) is actually at 7am. Also true for Curl Curl and Willoughby which is where I ended up. Willoughby is a relatively new parkrun at Artamon reserve. Lovely run as usual and I think less "touristy" than other Sydney parkruns.

Very pleased for your family funkyplates. I got a new course PB at Kawana. My first visit since 2013. Lovely parkrun - I hope it won't be four years before I am back again.

After a couple of weeks at Mitchelton parkrun I was planning to go to Kedron this weekend which is only a few kms along the Kedron Brook. Not sure if it will be on though. It will be interesting to see how many parkruns in Queensland are cancelled this week after all the rain we have had. Ashgrove was cancelled last week because it was too wet. There is no chance they will be running this week.

Last week I ran Kedron and would have run just under 21 minutes if hadn't been a long course. (something I learnt last week parkruns on alternate courses should be 200 m long).

This week I followed up with exactly 21 minutes at New Farm, which I think is the oldest parkrun in Brisbane (and one of the oldest in Australia).

Course pb at Mitchelton on Saturday. Will be down in Melbourne this weekend so think of going to Albert parkrun. Anyone recommends any others that are easy to get to by public transport. I will be staying fairly central,

I managed my 50th different parkrun event globally at the weekend in Melbourne at Albert Park. I have now done 36 English parkruns, 12 in Australia, and 1 each in Wales and Denmark.

This Saturday I'll be volunteering at Mitchelton.

That's a good mix of parkrun and well done on hitting the 50th mark.
