Progress is being made! 2 weeks ago I did "Cindy", a crossfit workout where you have 20 minutes to do as many rounds as possible of 5 pull ups, 10 press ups, 15 air squats. I managed 10 rounds and thought I was going to die!
Tonight I wanted to do something a bit "lighter" but wanted to include pull ups so I did 10 rounds of 50 single under skips, 5 pull ups, 10 press ups, 15 air squats. I completed that in exactly 20 minutes.
I'm going to have to try straight "Cindy" again in a few days aren't I?

The thought of CrossFit in any weather makes me sweat but in this heat...good god man!

I was shirtless (as is the tradition!š) and it was still very sweaty!
My pull up bar is over the kitchen door but everything else was out on the Fitness Patio so plenty of air but it was warm air!

On an away trip so Iāve gone down the local park to see what I could do. Park bench for step ups (skipping/ step up workout done) and a bar about the right h gout for pull ups. Had to be done, then.
Cindy (20 minute AMRAP, 5 pull ups, 10 press ups, 15 air squats) done. 12 rounds completed. Thatās still 4 rounds and a bit short of my all time pb but the best Iāve done for ages!

Thereās one of those āoutdoor gymā things the other end of the park but thereās not a lot in there that you can really do hard stuff with. Iāve used the hand bike before which was hard work, but the lat pull down and overhead press are geared all wrong and donāt adjust.

Some serious lifting of the Dinnie Stones by both the lads and the lasses at the Donald Dinnie Day - The Gathering at Potarch on Sunday! This lad got successful lifts with both the straddle and side by side positions!
This lass got a partial lift (putting wind beneath the stones, but failing to achieve lock-out for two seconds) on her third attempt but they were determined to get her to succeed a lift and let her try again with straps but she was getting tired by then. Great attempt though.
I do have videos of the events but don't want to make them public to share but there will be an official video out shortly which I could share a link to if anyone wants to see?

Everything is relative, right? Some of you guys are lifting proper heavy stuff and, well, I'm not and I'm OK with that.
And I've had a dodgy back for a while and haven't even lifted "Heavy for me" for a while.
And heavy for me was a 72kg 1rm back squat.
So tonight I thought I'd do sets of 5 starting at 30Kg and build up from there to see what was comfortable.
My bottle went when I managed, reasonably comfortably, 67.5kg. I'm pretty pleased with that.
