Nice work, Fergus. I played HZD for a while, but struggled with remembering the controls from weekend to weekend, and couldn't get the hang of combat - could take down Watchers all stealthy-like, but the more aggressive ones with a laser beam (can't recall name off-hand) gave me a lot of trouble. One I'll go back to, as I really did like it and want to at least complete it.

Started Alien:Isolation today (in the daytime, because I'm a bit of a coward). Got absolutely steamrollered by the alien after spending too long banging around while waving a flare. This is a bit scary.

Taken a break from Talos to go for something just as highbrow - South Park - The Stick of Truth.
Fun, but not exactly the most cerebral thing I've ever enjoyed

Any good PC game recommendations, lovely Fetchies? I've been cycling through my usual games (Civ 4 & 6, FM 2010, Fortnite, Hearthstone, Angband) but they're all feeling a bit stale at the moment...

I'm loving Elite Dangerous Dooogs, although it's a steep learning curve at first.

Ooh, that's a good shout Mr D. I had a hooky copy of Rome: TW years back, but my old old PC's spec's weren't high enough to play it! What's the best one to start with? (current PC can play Civ 6 and Fortnite, etc, so should be fine for the earlier ones, at least)

Yes, ED is a modern rewrite of the original Elite, David Braben is still involved but it's far more complex and wide-ranging. Docking is easier though...
