Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yes, GregP, Fantasian is excellent! I've been playing it a lot recently and really enjoying it.

Haven't played a JRPG in ages and it has the warm embrace of nostalgia for me. Turn based battles, managing a team of three, ridiculous monsters, weird story. Great stuff!

Good to hear. I had a JRPG itch last year and put 19h30m (yes, I have a spreadsheet, so sue me) into Chaos Rings 3 but it really didn't work for me - especially straight after the magnificent Oceanhorn2 which seems to have been largely overlooked.

Back at Fantasian...

Nothing says ‘impending boss battle’ like a save point in the middle of an innocuous corridor.

Gutted to read that Fantasian is Apple exclusive.

Love reading about so many of the classic games here. I got back into pc gaming during covid. For those who mentioned enjoying Elite, it’s become my favorite and most played game. The latest version of Elite Dangerous “Odyssey” is being released next month. Finally you can get out of your ship and walk on planets. The game has come a long way since the first version in 1984!

I originally played Elite on a mates BBC micro, then played the Spectrum and Amstrad versions as I got my own computers. Hopefully Elite Dangerous is going to be the first game installed when my new laptop arrives in a week or so. I've been making do with "Oolite" a PC version of the original but ED looks amazing

ED is now installed and I’ve played for about 30 hours so far, it’s an amazing game, but the learning curve is steep - I had to call my son for some instruction! Any other ED players on here?
