I prefer Erdinger tbh. But both are perfectly palatable.

I’m in Salzburg and sampling an AF beer. A massive ice cream is also pictured to help with scale |

It was a warm, raspberry based sauce, I’ll have you know. Lovely it was.

I love how AF beer is almost ubiquitous, fully acceptable and with better quality and range of flavours. Nice Big_G. G

The only downside is the price, would expect it to be cheaper with the absence of duty to be paid etc. I've definitely bought a lot more AF beer in the last 12 months than I have "full fat" beer, probably 5x as much. |

bbc.co.uk Episode of the BBC Podcast series "Sliced Bread" looking at alco free/ low alcohol beers. Not really a review of which is best. More a look at the science and claims being made and whether they stack up. I found it very interesting. Maybe some of you will too. |

Nellers, thanks. I’ve spoken to Laura a couple of times and she won’t know me, but she’s built a good community there, and helped a lot of people I think. It is confusing about the labelling/guidance, but I just stick to my own ‘no more than 0.5%’ rule, and usually have 0.05. Personably I wouldn’t have 1 or 1.2%, but that’s just my own preference. I definitely prefer the ones that have had the alcohol taken out and they make a valid point that the process costs something in terms of time etc. |
