Hi Fetchies new and old
Did you know we have a thread about Giving Up The Booze here in Fetchland? It's called The Benefits of Giving Up Alcohol.

fetcheveryone.com/forum/the-benefits-of-giving-up-alcohol-18416/

Whether you are just trying to avoid over indulgence during the festive season, or whether you want to stop drinking to improve your training for a race, or, like many of us have stopped completely, for various reasons, there are like minded folk with support and advice to chat with. And of course the usual dose of Fetchie fun and silliness. Why not join us?! :-) G

(Yes Fetch, this a blatant advert, but please don't let Spammy McSpamface delete us?! :-O )

It is a very important thread on here. Thanks for flagging it up,HappyG(rrr).

I don't quite fit either the remit of that thread though. Unless I've misunderstood it's aims.

I enjoy a glass of wine or two with my evening meals. Generally don't have any more than that though. I also make sure I have 3 or 4 dry (non alcohol) days a week. The messages and supportive nature of the thread are brilliant.

Merry Christmas and Happy NewG(rrr)
You'd be most welcome on it, if your aim is to have some or any alcohol-free days. We talk about the benefit if that, as long as we don't talk about the "enjoy a glass of wine" bit and just concentrate on enjoying the days of no wine, then you're in! We have plenty of folk who drink some days but not other days. All are welcome! Thanks for posting here, come say hi over there too! :-) G

Thanks. Will do. At the moment, Mr Ness and I are on 4 alcohol free days a week. I think our health is better for it.

That's the spirit! champagne (honestly, that's not the normal standard of jokes on TBOGUA thread - the rest of the crew are much wittier and smarter than me! ) :-) G
