Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I wasn't 'drunk' G, but I think the taste made me feel kind of euphoric. It was like a throw back to my drunken past. It wasn't coincidence I was with an old drinking pal. I also had two or three bottles, like the start of a session. The drink tastes good; the effect - that time - was ever so slightly alarming tbh

Had a meal in the local Hungry Horse/ Greene King pub yesterday. They have 0.5% Old Speckled Hen, which is OK.

Weirdly it costs £4.15 a bottle but they have a 2 for £4 deal on all the low/no alcohol beers, so they paid me 15p to drink the second one.

Speckled Hen is a bit watery, but it's not bad. Low Tide is quite nice. Asda have an extended AF drinks section now.

Larks, I thought Rheinbacher was Aldi's own brand since forever? Maybe I've just mixed up random German-esque names? :-) G

I wasn't too keen on the 0.5% Ghost Ship. I'll have the 4.5% any day (my personal favourite).

I almost don't remember what the full strength taste like any more! So the AF tastes fine to me! :-) G

And I don’t want to get the taste for full strength again either!

We’re in France at the moment and I stocked up on some AF beers. I’ve got some Leffe with me from home, but there’s a good selection of different ones here, and I opted for the Grimbergen. Very nice too.

That's a better selection than I've ever seen in a UK supermarket. Although gradually things are improving here but some of the places I shop still have a fairly small A/F choice.

Currently up a mountain in Dolomites, so it seemed rude not try this.
