Interesting thread, I'm following this.
I like it that most larger races in Germany offer non alcoholic beer at the finish. I had Krombacher, Erdinger, Sternburg and Berg Bier at various events. Krombacher and Erdinger are bigger brands which are sold in supermarkets all over Germany and also abroad. The latter two are local breweries which are only sold regionally.
I'm glad that we have a large variety of low or non alcoholic beers, some also come with flavours like lime, grapefruit or orange. So far, I still have to find a non alcoholic beer I don't like. It also depends on the day, sometimes I fancy a lager, sometimes a Weißbier or Weizenbier (wheat beer?) Often, they have both on offer.

I'm doing Hamburg this year and it's Erdinger 0.0% sponsored, I think. Looking forward to getting my free alcohol-free beer at the finish! G

We’re in Lisbon at the moment and this is going down very well.
We are at the Pasteis de Belem, and the guides say: ‘The origins of heavenly pasteis de Belem (aka pasteis de nata) stretch back to an early-19th-century sugarcane refinery at a nearby monastery. The top secret custard tart recipe hasn’t changed since then and shall forever serve as a reminder than calories need not be sinful. Amen’.
I concur.

It's good that they have the actual alcohol content clearly stated. I spent a frustrating time trying to find a Christmas (non-beer) fizz that was actually zero alcohol, rather than "alcohol-free". None of the supermarkets label well or consistently, I keep having to do a search on the manufacturer's web site to find out what the content is.

A (partial) cross-post from the "50 beers in..." thread, I managed to consume this many no/lo alchohol beers last year. Some I had to travel to try (mercifully we're spared San Miguel 0.0 Manzana in the UK), some were not worth the price of admission, but breweries such as Big Drop and Athletic Brewing are doing really good work, and Heineken Zero is a great consistent product. And I try to always have a stock of Erdinger Alkoholfrei to hand.
I'd be happy to drink 28 of the 34 again, which is pretty good going.

Guiness 0% is surprisingly ok. In fact, I'm led to believe it is now available on draft.
