I like Hokas, but they are quite different to my other shoes, and takes a bit of time to adjust between the Hoka platform soles and the more minimalist Inov-8s.
Although all off road ones, not those sparkly clean ones!

Som - I reckon Alpenrose is about halfway between Poole and me - I'm just off the far NE corner of the New Forest.
Local advice? Watch out in and (mostly) around Poole. Lots of traffic cameras.
