Morning.

I spent a 100 quid to find out there was nothing wrong with me. Now I'm hurting.

(Dizziness has cleared up on its own but I kept the appointment with ENT. He thinks it was cervical vertigo and might come back - so basically, based on stress and corresponding bad neck posture. Am I really going to have to do bloody yoga now?).

I got out to walk the dog and then did a 5k recovery run as per my Nike plan.

One thing that I've noticed in the last few days is that my 'splanchnic shunt' (surprisingly high heart rate from the start, then suddenly dropping to where it should be) is back. I haven't had it for years. I wonder if my painful chest wall has something to do with it?

Have also done a run, out and back 3 miles, back felt hard into the wind, at least it had stopped raining.

Walked to Bruv's, had tea and catch-up, walked home (just over 3 miles altogether). Light rain and moderately windy on outward journey, heavy rain coming in great gusts of wind on the way home. House now festooned with drying clothes.

Daisy, I looked up splanchnic shunt, but the explanation is beyond me.

Back in Reykjavik. I've managed to hurt my back :(

Went to track but my calf made it clear that running continuously wasn't sensible, so I listened and stopped. Spent the time coaching and encouraging instead. Fortunately it stopped raining and wasn't too cold :)
