Feeling a bit unsettled. I'm in my running kit and did actually set off on a 5k recovery run but my knees felt really sore after yesterday's run. I decided to cancel the run and came back home. Then I thought I'd rake up all the willow leaves off the lawn (they only finally fell when we had all the snow before Christmas.) But raking turns out to hurt my ribs too much (I'm coming round to thinking either it's a cracked rib or a torn chest muscle.) So that was no good.

I don't want to just sit here for the afternoon but nor do I want to hurt my ribs further or put too much stress on my old knees :-(

I decided I *must* make up my mind on new specs frames so drove part way into town then walked the rest. 1.7 miles walked, so including this morning's dog walk that 4.7 miles walked today - better than nothing!

As regards glasses, because the shop was much quieter compared with Saturday, I got some really helpful advice from the sales assistant. So I've ordered three new pairs (2 clear, 1 sunnies) *and* have made an appointment to discuss and try out varifocal contacts. I feel a bit more cheerful now :-)

Visitors gone, dog has had a haircut and walk, I have been on zwift and all is good. I love having visitors but its so nice to get your house back ☺️

:-) it’s ok if I remember to use irl names it’s when I say I’m talking to Fleecy that it sounds like I’ve gone feral and started chatting to my jumper. I’m struggling with the stay-at-home mum thing so that’s just about within the bounds of reasonable possibility

LD, cut yourself some slack and stick to walking for a few days.

Just a short morning on the slopes as we couldn't see much. Snowing again since late afternoon so should be nice in the morning, if we can see. :)
