Oh LD, I think you might have been justified in hugging there, if you'd both wanted to.

So sorry to read that, LD. Horrible at any time but even harder when you cannot go around to visit.

I know I CAN in theory take the two trail runs easy and as training, then the marathon would be fine. I also know that I am too bloody competitive and when the bell goes, I'll be off like the proverbial clappers. I'll have to work out a new training plan. Something to do next time it rains.

ITG: all my advice was based on the fact that a) you’ll do it anyway b) you’re incapable of dialling it back c) the best I can do is encourage you that your sponsors know you will be thinking of your dad every step of the way and that neither the speed nor the completion matter a jot to anyone but you xx

I'm so sorry LD :( Deaths are even worse without the human ties that normally help support people.

ITG, I agree with Dipps.

I don't know what I've done to the top of my hip, but it's horribly painful :(

um
Going back about 2 hours and 5 pages ;-)

LindsD - I googled to see if I coud find any evidence of Harrow allowing public use of their grounds during the lockdown. All I could find was this, 8 years old, and more aligned to your experience.

Welcome to the 700 miles in 2020 thread, everybody welcome. The thread motto is:
'700 miles is neither necessary nor sufficient'

At normal times: All you have to do is run about 1.91 miles per day or 13.46 miles per week or 58.33 miles per month and take a picture when you get to 700 miles. Extra points for bins :-) And if you go under or over 700 miles nobody will mind.

Join in the chat on the friendliest thread around - all things discussed, sometimes even running.
