Hurrah, Linds!

No, none of the distances are too long but they might be too long all in a row if I am going all out. I think I've run at least a half pretty much every weekend since January but that usually involves considerable fannying about, stopping, walking the hard bits, etc.

Yeah, I'll probably do it and get injured. But it will be nearly winter again by then so I won't care so much ;) And hopefully crossfit gym will be open for some recovery exercises.

MrS had a few double hilly marathon weekends which he was ok with but he treated them like an ultra with a split.

It has of course taken me two years to recover from that August marathon which I hobbled through so in all seriousness if you go for all three be prepared to have to bail after one. I really wouldn’t recommend racing injured it just isn’t werf it

I know you did race with multiple of so you have a track record. But I race “being nails” less now I’ve had to spend so long never more than a whisker away from a whine ;-)

My plan already drops from the 32km trail run in the middle to "only" 21km. It's just a pain that the marathon is last. I could of course drop to the 10km or half but it would be a bit rubbish having raised money on the back of promising 2 marathons (at least) not to finish even one marathon :/

I suppose I could look at it as a 2 week long ultra. If I keep my garmin running, I'll probably even get a new badge :D

PF lesson learned. I reckon it's going to be just tiredness.

I ran the Genova half one week after Roma marathon and my legs were killing me. I ran the first 10km really fast then collapsed and struggled for the rest. No lasting effects though (i.e., fine the next day).

I think that's quite a good way of looking at it.

Yes I’d look at it as combined distance. And train for it that way. If you can drop down at the last minute that would be better still
