Morning Hullo Helegant GWS ITG sounds horrid Stuntboy is having to come to work with me today - he has his trauma clinic appointment but I've no way of getting him home afterwards so he has to hang round the whole day. Which will be interesting.....

Morning! Welcome to the joy of the 700 thread Helegant!
Off for a swim shortly (in the indoor pool) and then it's over to Gloucester for my bone density scan. Such excitement

Still very sore. I don't think it is anything dangerous but it is still (temporarily) ruining my life. I will try to get some Voltaren today.
If I sit with my legs straight out, I cannot even sit up to 90'. If I bend my knees a bit, I can get to 90' but no further.

Morning all,
GWS those unwell and/or on the injury bench.
I've not moaned about my knee for a while but that's because I've been using a copper joint knee sleeve. I think it is more a placebo but it does seem to be giving me less grief. That has seen me get to near enough 500 for the year and feeling quite good. Weekly mileage has been on the up, hitting 30 miles last week. Following the training plan really does seem to be paying dividends (Who'd have though lol).
And to top of the positivity, 9 more sleeps until I get home

Well done on the training Andy, consistency is the key! On that note I got out for a little run this morning, I have completely got out of the habit of running!

Good morning all and healing vibes to those who need it.
I've trialling TrainAsOne workouts recently, and noticed that they have asked less of me than I have asked of myself. That's because the workouts are based on performance at previous tasks. however, doing what they suggest means I haven't broken yet.
Last week it was telling me to run for 21 minutes after warm-up, then 22 minutes etc. After entering the TBC Garmin data it has told me to rest for two days then run up to 41 minutes after warm-up

I'd registered for TrainAsOne as well Helegant. I didn't really get on with it because of where I run. The bulk is at altitude and hot as hell during the summer. And then I go home to sea level and cold and all of a sudden I am running around about a minute to 90seconds a mile quicker for the same level of effort which screwed up the plans.
At the minute I am running 4 days at less than 70% effort, one day of tempo and one intervals session a week. I could geek out on the stats but won't bore you with them. I do know that I am making progress though. I'm looking forward to getting home next week and stretching the legs out in the cooler weather. I'd really like to get to a park run whilst home but Saturday mornings aren't the best for me. If not I'll try and put in a best effort 5k and 5 miler whilst I'm home.
