Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Physio told me today to set my expectations to not be able to run for at least 3 months. Hopefully the prognosis will improve in the mean time.

Having just reached 74.16% at Sri Chinmoy 5K series in June, I am curious how much fitness I will loose and how long it will take to build back. I was chasing 75% on 5K and over 70% at half-marathon.

Thanks Goofee. Annoying for sure but mentally Im not really upset - oddly. I had some great races and scenery. Hopefully the mood will stay good and FOMO wont creep in. :)

Nae luck Kieren. Hopefully a swift recovery.

My last two Wavas were 50 & 60. Hard trail races though, well, thatā€™s my excusešŸ˜‚

Attempting a come back to running after stopping in early February, I definitely am nowhere near 70% wava.
However, I shall do my best to get back to 70% wava and attempt to improve on my old scores.

Best of luck FF, it's been such a long lay off for you. Feel sure you canN and will get back to. 70% plus, but I know only too well it feels like a long haul sometimes. Frustrating too.

The official results are in. A 69.76 WAVA for the ā€œBeat the Tideā€ 10K I ran on Tuesday evening.

So near & yet so close. Oh well, thereā€™s always next time.
