68.7% Wava for my virtual 5k earlier. Still a wee bit of a chilly breeze & was up at 0400, so ok.

I’m starting to think about this as an aim for when races start again 😊

I’m still barely running, I do a max of 15mpw 😳😳😳 but I’m cycling on the days I’m not running which must help!

I have recently started doing a 3.4 mile loop from home at a hard effort. Like, well, pretty much all out. Today it came out at 67.48% so I could hopefully this year make 70%? I can’t really up my running from this, I’m on the edge of what a dodgy foot can cope with even at this, I might need to do it by losing some weight instead, perhaps half stone, but I really CBA to do that until races start again 😂 I’m eating my way through lockdown atm!

Still not sure I completely understand this WAVA thing but 70 seems like a bit (well, massive stretch actually) of a stretch target for me so I'm up for the challenge

67.42, I'm guessing for my parkrun pb of 20.52. A mile sounds easier (quicker/less painful)

A mile hurts more than a 5k imo.

If you do it right, yes totally. Only at about 800m is it perhaps more bearable, and I suspect that's because you can do that partially/mainly anaerobic. (It's not any less painful, but the amount of pain incurred is half the time over 800m).
