Right, folks! I finished the marathon so am ready to start training properly for the 5k swim. I've signed up for a 32.7km trail run on 7th August so I want to get the 6k swim done about 2 weeks before that. Training starts on Monday |

I did 2.5k last night in 1:04. Need to pick that up a bit unless I'm going to travel further away for the 5k as max time is 2 hrs where I go. Though only swim distance badge left to get is 10k so may try to get somewhere else at some point. |

OW tonight holiday next week so have booked double pool for monday to do iron distance swim of 3.8km no time limit at OW but after last weeks shocking 20mins of ice this week is JFDI! BBC says warm weather for a good 10+ days so OW should be nice My tri is always wetsuit so I will stick with it |

Last night was my first full skins swim of year. I'd ditched the wetsuit on Sunday at 16.8c but last night was 20.2c so it was gloves socks and neoprene hat off last night. Felt great. |

Still lurking around here. Doing a mile 3 times a week - just about non-stop with the occasional stopping to let people past at the end of a length. 1st OW booked for Saturday. |

That's great, MA. You could probably do the 5k tomorrow with that training!

Thanks ITG, but I'm not so sure about that!! 1st OW swim of the year (and 1st for 3 years!) this morning. Managed about 1.6 miles in the allocated hour, so feel like I've finally turned a corner. I've signed up to Arun River Swim (2.4m) at the end of month, which is tide assisted so that'll be good fun, and then it'll be to think about this 5k! |
