One of the obstacles in the Mudnificent 7

I'm sure it would have been easier and quicker going over rather than under :)

Thanks to a wedding invitation, my planned September races have been thrown out of sync. (sorry geordiegirl, that also means that I will miss out on the Bacchus Marathon. I have updated the Race Planner for your info.). It also means me doing a hilly trail marathon next Sunday, very much unprepared.

I hope that everyone is doing their best to hit that 500 mile target - keep going everyone!

Oh no Phil who gets married on a race day 🤔 I'm sure you'll have fun and we'll drink as much wine and me & EB will haha😂

Been struging with the leg but mainly from the flipping bruising from the massaging. But p'd off if I'm honest I emailed the person who owns the Physio centre and said the bruising pain is making foam roller painful and asked should I delay next session or am I ok... he's read the message but not answered. The heel pain is better when I get up. On tonight's run it was sore until it warmed up since I know it's not 100% but it's bearable. I'm thinking ill can it and depending on their response i may find a new Physio. Why is it so bloody hard??

Ev how are you doing and sorry if

Sorry to hear that GG :-(

Personally I avoid painful massages as I don't believe they are helpful - I tense up if they are too painful so they are counterproductive. My physio (who sadly no longer does private work) stopped doing painful massages too as he did not believe they are helpful. I now mainly have relaxing ones which do help :-)
Hope your heel gets better soon and you find the answer!

I'm nowhere near my mileage target this year as I've battled endless obstacles. I'm hoping that I'm now in the right place to make progress and build some miles and fitness. I've just passed 60 miles for the year :-O (original target 500!)

So VERY VERY proud of my mummy (geordiemum) we both did Paras10 yesterday. Its a bloody tough run and my mum was the eldest woman on the course at 2 weeks off 73. She dug deep throughout and especially on the HILL at mile 8 which is brutal, she slipped and it knocked her confidence and she was feeling sick but with a bit of encouragement from me and other runners we got her to the top. I hope I am half as fit as her at her age she is just phenomenal. I feel we may be back next year!!

She did it in 2hr 39m 48s :) that is only 50m behind my best time and 35m behind my last effort...

Another group for another year, but whether you're aiming for 500 or more or less lets just have a nice little social group to share our goals and running antics.

Everyone is welcome, whether you don't want to set an official target or you may be aiming further but still want to pop by for a chat/offer some words of wisdom or just because the door is always open and kettle is on.

Target miles Link http://www.fetcheveryone.com/training-mileagetargets-filtered.php?category=RUN&mileage=500

to set your mileage:

Go to the Train tab

scroll down to where it says - annual mileage targets

there should be a little box to the right in red, click for run and add your mileage.

Race Planner docs.google.com

(When you go in give yourself a colour so I know you're wanting to be on the sheet so I can keep it tidy)

If you update the race planner after I've updated the header drop me an fmail or a reminder (or 2) on the thread so I know to update. Thanks
