Happy New Year everyone. Let’s hope and pray it’s better and we can get to resume a more normal life.
So here we go 500m in 2021 or of course whatever you’re aiming for. What are your goals? And don’t forget all inclusive here so no matter what you’re aiming for pop by for a cuppa and a chat now and then.
I can update the header with goals and hopefully add races when they return.
I’m going to attempt 100/month with a 100k race (Race to the Castle) in June I’m hoping I can do it & stay injury free.

New Year's Day was a good time to restart. I did contemplate a week before Christmas but the rib was still a bit tender.
OK, 1.1 miles is a bit naff but it's a start. The short climbs were much harder than I remember them. No imminent pain but, if all is well, I am going to try for a couple of runs each week to get my fitness levels back up.
I'm just thankful that the Brighton Marathon [if it goes ahead] will be in September instead of April as I might struggle to be fit in time otherwise.

I started the year with 4 miles this morning. It was cool and blowy but not raining or snowing, so that must be good!
Here's to hoping that you all have an injury-free, Covid-free, worry-free 2021, with lots of PBs in races or virtual events.

Sorry folks, the post above was from me, not GrandmaS (my wifey). I mistakenly still had her account logged in - the same laptop, different Fetch accounts! In fact she did 2.50 miles this morning.

4 miles done as the start to 2021. It took me almost as long to workout how to set my target miles as I did to do my run.
I’ve set myself a personal target which is to run, walk and cycle 500 miles each and to swim 1 mile. So a total of 1,501 miles for 2021. I’ve done this so that if things conspire against me I can increase one discipline to counter a fall off in another.
I’m thinking mainly that running is most likely go on hold as my knees are a little tender at times, so I’m expecting the worst at some stage in the future.
