Strutbrother I’m so sorry I’d genuinely didn’t see your post when I wrote mine in true form I started it but a few hours later finished it. It’s a phenomenal achievement so go and smash it.

Welcome to the gang snufkin.

So, I've a practical question, and I can't find the answer. Today I did a run, stopped for a bit, thought I'd finished, but got cold in the wind, so did another 20 mins running while waiting for my son to finish his football training. This means I've now got 2 runs instead of one. OK, it was 2, but the 2nd started 10-15 mins after the other. Can I merge them on this training record? I can't seem to on my polar software. Cheers!

This morning I had a run along the cycleway; after a 1mile slow w/u, I ran the remainder at Tempo+ pace, with parts of it at a faster pace. Amazingly, we had dry conditions, although 5 minutes before starting to run there was a short, 'aggressive' hailstorm, which was clearly trying to intimidate us!

Hi Snufkin. Your choice whether you want to call it one or two. You could call run one a general or long run and the second a recovery run.

If you want to record it as a single run, you cannot merge as such. However, you can edit one by adding the distance, time, calories, etc. of the other and then delete the second log when you have finished.

Just under 12 miles this morning. Hilly, breezy and a bit tough at times but glad I got around at 8.53 min/mile pace.

Got three nice "good mornings" from the first runners I passed but blank expressions from the last three. I know it's not compulsory but I think that a bit of early morning friendliness to other likeminded people goes some way to making a long run more pleasant.

Snufkin I could only offer the same options as SP, I often do 2 in quick succession sometimes I run to meet my mam then will restart for the run with her which is slower and more recovery run.

Yesterday I thought first and maybe only leap year parkrun in my running lifetime (although god willing I’ll be at the next one in 2048 too!) so I walked down with Geordiemum did the first 3/4m with her then pootled off. My breathing g felt great and I felt good. A slower runAt 35m 49s as well as starting with mom the course was slightly long at 3.27m.

I then ran back to find mum ran back with her then we ran/walked home.

5 more sleeps to Oz packing has started and the running kit is first in!!

I’m rather amused to see in the Milage Table that MarkJ is -0.81999999999999% off the target at the moment (of posting).
Has the Fetch rounding up machine broken? 😀

Snufkin, as I enter my runs on tro 'Fetch' manually I have no problem. Sometimes I decide to do my warm-up & warm-down as part of the one main run, and at other times I enter them as separate entities, in which case I will probably just press the 'save & reset' button each time.

GG, I would have thought that running kit would be - last in, first out; but maybe you're so wealthy that you have duplicate & even triplicate sets of running kit!

Thanks everyone for the feedback. You're right, I'll just leave it as two. I guess I'm new enough to this that I like seeing I can actually run 8ish miles and be fine....

I'm in València for work this week, and went out for some intervals in the park. Not sure what the cleaners thought about the soggy running kit after I rinsed it and hung it up in the shower...
Interesting too that although there were loads of other runners out, everyone was just concentrating on what they were doing. No smiles of encouragement, but still felt friendly somehow. I usually like a little wave or smile though.

About This Thread

*EDIT* in the current situation we are not entering races but I think we can still log any plans we may have over the coming months, whether it is learning a new skill, ticking jobs off a list, moving house(!), doing alternative exercise, aiming for training hours instead of miles, writing to family & friends, finding inventive ways to be together virtually or even entering virus races please fill in the planner and I’ll update this thread and keep our little social group going to share our goals.

Everyone is welcome, whether you don't want to set an official target or you may be aiming further but still want to pop by for a chat/offer some words of wisdom or just because the door is always open and kettle is on.

(When you go in give yourself a colour so I know you're wanting to be on the sheet so I can keep it tidy)

If you update the race planner after I've updated the header drop me an fmail or a reminder (or 2) on the thread so I know to update. Thanks
