Durand Jones - It's good and "Someday We'll All be Free" is an absolutely cracking track and I may stick that on a playlist somewhere would say the same for "See it through". I'm not sure how often I would go back to the album as a whole but it's due a couple more listens.

Oh, I'll listen to that Goldfrapp album for sure. I never entirely clicked with her, in that I always felt there were a few duds on otherwise great albums.

Lovejoy's Wake Up & It's Over for me, although it's more of an EP. Also most likely Esben & The Witch, Hold Tight.

BC Camplight is my one to listen to today.

Never really got on with any of the Goldfrapp albums, but I can see there's 'something' there I ought to like, so will try her solo album too, albeit with low expectations!
I've enjoyed both the Lottery Winners and Durand Jones albums over the last few days, so cheers for those tips, people! I don't think either of them are on my essential list, but well worth a few plays. The joy of streaming, huh, try before you commit...

Craven Faults - Standers - I love that "sehr kosmische" feel, "analogue electronic journeys across the north of Britain". Ooh I think Colin Stetson has a new one out today too.

About This Thread

Maintained by McGoohan
As a spin-off from Joopsy's excellent Albums of 2022 thread fetcheveryone.com/forum/albums-of-2022-62537/ this is a new thread where we commit to listen to one new album a week in 2023. Allowing a couple of weeks off for life commitments etc, that's 50 albums in the year.
EDIT - new and improved (i.e. exactly the same) for 2024
