I've been absent a bit from this thread and I need to get a bit of a move on. When I look at my listening history I've been doing a lot of 'catching up on podcasts' which hasn't left a lot of time for music. Podcasts are all very well but... it's just people talking, innit? So, I have a couple of recommendations: ARXX - Ride or Die. They're a LGBT duo from Brighton. I saw a quote from them saying they want to be a punk band but they can't stop writing pop songs. Their album is full of catchy songs. Dead Pony - Ignore This - Scottish emo-dreamo-screamo band. Sort of like Linkin Park were still going and had a female Scottish vocalist |

Long time for me on this thread too. Decent albums have been listening are those from English Teacher Bill Ryder-Jones Hurray for the Riff Raff Waxahatchee I have wasted a lot of time on the back catalogue of Cheekface but presently in love with Enjoyable Listens - Trapped in the Cage of a Hateful Bird; 80's ABC vibes and wit. |

Enjoying the new Bodega album. Ive heard them occasionally over the past few years on 6music but don’t think I’ve listened to any of their albums before.

Hadn't put in much reviews lately and been trying to figure out what i've listened to but not reviewed. So The Smile, Ride and Last Dinner Party reviews now in. Listening to English teacher and Bodega now and have some others to catch up on.

Just heard Yoshika Colwell on 6Music and really enjoyed it. A bit Laura Marling I think. Her EP will come on the dog walk I think.

Yes lists are subjective but might be worth perusing this to pick out any gems you may have missed........ stereogum.com |
