Might add that to my list Joopsy. Queens of the Stone Age new one is tremendous on first listen. Also gave Django Django’s latest a listen yesterday and fairly enjoyed it too

I was unconvinced when the Djangos released Off Planet little by little - Off Planet 1 just didn't grab me - but now it's fully released I'm really enjoying it albeit think they should have cut a couple of tracks for length.

In two minds about the Queens of the Stone Age, Josh Homme kicking the female photographer in the face and shrugging it off as depression some years back raised a lot of alarm bells, and then the domestic violence accusations from his ex-partner Brody Dalle have made me very icky about them (it does sound a very Johnny Depp/Amber Heard kind of relationship). Used to love them, but the more I read and dig in, the less I want to listen.

Yep JK, I enjoyed it and trimming a few tracks would have made it stand out more I think. There was a very small part of the album where I felt I fell into some lost tracks from Moon Safari by Air which is one of my favourite albums ever.

Chrisull, Yep my moan about Lloyd Cole is put into perspective and is nothing compared to what Josh Homme has floating around about him and i did listen to and love the QOTSA album.

If I didn't listen to music by people who were, or have been, guilty of disagreeable integrity there wouldn't be a lot left? Something I've mulled over a lot, same as with watching football, but depriving myself of enjoying either seems like the greater of two evils in terms of my mental health. Directly supporting them financially, no, otherwise is just music and football and helps me hugely. Especially now I can't run.

I agree partially, but I must admit those guilty of domestic violence (or abuse - see Gary Glitter) or race related crime stick in my throat. Arrogance, selfishness, nastiness are all par for the course.

Reading up on the Josh Homme stuff it seems there is more to it when it comes to Brodie Dalle. Homme now has full custody the kids and there is a restraining order against Dalle and her current boyfriend. Whatever happened does not sound like a healthy relationship.

Listening to the new one from Swans right now. Not listened to them before and its a hard listen to be honest - possibly one that will need a bit of time but lets see if I can get through this listen first.

Really enjoying Here is Everything, the Big Moon right now. a 2022 release but new to me!

great voice, lyrics and melodies.

I know there are mixed feelings on Spotify, but it recommended a playlist to me, "Equal. listen to women at full volume", lots of great tracks on it and future artist listening added to my queue.

Also need to go and listen to Lloyd Cole. loved them back in the 80s!

Interesting post Chrisull (20,388 above).
I have been thinking the same about Tell Lindemann. I really like listening to Rammstein but the recent allegations about Lindemann's behaviour has made me a bit wary.

Iaincr, yep the Big Moon are good. Haven't reviewed it as I listened to it when it came out last year but may stick a review up.

Just added a few points to the score on my Foo Fighters review as been listening more and enjoying more.

Also stuck up a review for Anna B Savage as finally got round to giving it more than one listen.

I think the second bdrmm album is out on Friday so will be giving that a listen.

On 45 reviews for the year now
