Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Am in, start a group HG and we can add to that ourselves?

Am going to aim for 400 too with a little cross training thrown in on top of the running. Only 10.2 so far because of 5 days off for man flu and a twingy hip flexor today.....

hello, may I join in? :)
I'm in the 500 miles group but to be honest I'm not sure if I'll stick to that too much, karate and canoeing get in the way a bit!
Not sure what target to do though- my best year was a bit under 200, so maybe I'll go for a 250 target :) blimey, looking at those numbers is a bit depressing, thought I did more than that!!

Good idea Terminator. Is that how it's tracked in other threads? Welcome and Isabel adn Cuddy!

J , Cuddy - whatever counts as training for YOU counts! J, if the arm curls are part of your goal, part of what contributes to your training, then fine. If arm curls means raising a bottle of beer to your mouth, then maybe not! Cuddy, if you power walk to work and that is part of your base training for running, then yes, I'd count it! For instance, I'm not counting lying around in the pool, jacuzzi and sauna with my mum at the gym yesterday. Very nice and relaxing, but not training. Nor am I counting my walking up and down the hills of the cross country course taking pics and supporting our club (Go Harmeny!) even though I'll be knack'd at the end. That's not my training. That's just life! :-)G

That is how you track who is in HG. People could all update their training info there then so you don't have to trawl through the thread or people's profiles to find out how they are doing.

Good one TT. I'll create a group etc. and update stuff later on when I get back. Off to watch clubmates in local XC. Horizontal rain and temp about 5C. Not sure if it'll be colder running or watching! :-)G

In two minds whether I should log walking, on't really powerwalk most of the time but I do get a bit sweaty. Some days I do huff and puff my way back from work like a man woman though, taking full advantage of the slight uphill. To be decided!

About This Thread

Maintained by Legless
A thread for those feeling left out by all the "1000 miles in 2011" threads etc Let's track Hours instead of Miles!

WHATEVER YOU CLASS AS 'TRAINING' COUNTS AS TRAINING.

To get your name in lights here on the thread header, please join the group, then keep a note of your target and progress in there. I'll copy it in here periodically!

Hour targets...
Target . . . Aug ... Sept ....... Oct ..........Nov
% . . . 66.6% ... 74.8% ...... 83.3% .....91.8%
200 . . . 133.2 ... 149.6 ....... 166.6 ......183.6
250 . . . 166.5 ... 187.0 ...... 208.25 ......229.5
300 . . . 199.8 ... 224.4 ....... 249.9 ..... 275.4
365 . . . 243.1 ... 273.02 ..... 304.0 ...... 335.1
400 . . . 266.4 ... 299.2 ...... 333.2 ..... 367.2
500 . . . 333.0 ... 374.0 ....... 416.5 ..... 459.0

Remember, you can set your own target. Doesn't have to be 365 hours. Doesn't even have to be annual. Could be, "I will do 20 hours training in March." or "I will average 3 hours a week for the next 3 months." or "I will do 150 hours for the rest of the year." or whatever. You decide it, plan it, state it, then let's all go do it!!
