Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yes I have, I don't tend to get injured, I get niggles - sore hamstrings, tight calves, then I ease back. I do make sure I try and listen to my body a lot. Right now seem to be suffering from fatigue, which is reducing my race performances, and probably need to cut back on the mileage for a bit.

The funny thing is I don't have good running form/style and as a coach I recognise this, but as a coach I also know that you don't correct things that aren't causing problems (seemingly).

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! I am
Aiming to build consistency and get away from the speed work then niggles then recovery cycle. Am
Sure if I can just string together an extended period of plodding I will start to reap the benefits. At least that is this weeks plan

I will be about 52 behind target after today's run. Was 58 behind at the start of the month so slowly clawing it back. Will need a couple of big months to get it back but it's still within grasp.

Dill - just keep some speed in there (strides are good) to keep in touch with the mechanics of how to run quick and you'll be golden.

A bit up here, was a reasonable amount up then got a bit of PF. Never mind, it's a good time of year to be on the bike, and I'll be a there or thereabouts come the end of the year

Torey, we're 66% of the way through the year and you've already done 75% of the mileage, so you've worked up some "wriggle room" even if you can't continue at the same rate as you're averaging so far.

46 miles behind target. Down from 52 a week ago so things are looking good. Just need to keep focused for the next few months and all should be ok.
