Ohh..when I did the Thames Path 100 one year I was pulled from the race by medics two miles from the finish with body temp just 34c! I did actually do 100, the race was in fact 102 miles on the day because of a diversion. Completed that one the following year.
My pre race set up for this last weekend was appalling..might write a blog!
Thanks Hunstman and Chrisull.

Actually I did run 94 miles last weekend, the official distance given is the final checkpoint that I past. Back into training again now...a recovery jog mid week, four miles this morning. Feeling good!

I've just caught up with your mileage again Torey - both at 1665 I see on 195th and 196th this year! We should both make the 2000 reasonably comfortable, that's 112 miles a month now. I'm in marathon training so I expect another 200 mile month, November has the marathon, then I will back off in December, but low mileage months for me are normally about 120 anyway!

How is everyone else doing?

Only 24 out of 86 on par... according to the table. There's some slippage...

Chris, your streak of +100 mile months is amazing/inspirational. I'm sure you'll be easily over 2000 miles by the end of the year.

October is likely to be my lowest mileage month since April, but all being well I should pass the 2000 mark in the next couple of weeks :-)

Nelly - yes you have no hurry, recover properly from that last marathon and come back strong for another one in the spring!

I made it to 3000km then admitted defeat with the injury I've been trying to pretend didn't exist for about 6 weeks. I only need 126 miles to break 2000, so should get there. It might take until December though.

I'm 10% up on target so a nice buffer now. Plan is to concentrate on 5K speed soon so mileage might drop but should get over the line with room to spare.

Recovering well from last dnf (!) when I pulled out at 90 odd miles! Flare up in my hip seems to have passed and following two weeks of easy running am over 10k a time again now. Escape to Meriden back on the agenda...but...still being cautious and not overly optimistic. Hope to do it though cos it's something different!
So we're almost neck and neck again Chrisull, yep, 2000 looks like it will happen after all!
