Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Here's 2016's 2000 miles thread..... where are ya? All the other threads seem to be up 700, 1000, 1500 and 3000 miles, so it's about time we had one. Each year I say ... oh I won't do as many this year and seem to end up over the 2000 more often than not. I see I'm already up on the mileage needed so that's a good start. Who else is in?

I think I'll join you Chris... although my highest yearly total so far is *only* 1844 (in 2015) so it may be slightly ambitious, but it should be achievable if I can manage my normal mid-year mileage dip a bit better.

I'm (hopefully) in this year - some injuries in November/ December led to a failure last year, but all being well I'll be back over 2000 again this year :)

Excellent! I've added a group but it's not showing up yet (does fetch have to approve it?) There must be more takers... Foxy? Swittle? Some more of the sub 3.15 marathon group?

Chris, I seem to remember there needs to be a minimum number of members in a group for it to show in the list... and looking at the list there aren't any with less than 20 members listed. I've joined the group, having used the link from your profile page. Maybe you could add a link in the sidebar to the group?

This target is where I would like to be as 40 miles a week is my target. Good luck all.

I'm up for it as well. It'll give me something to aim for after London. The first 1000 miles will be easy as that's about the amount of miles I'll be training for it. It's afterwards where it will be harder to motivate myself to keep a good mileage unless I sign up for an autumn marathon, but I'm not making that plunge until the dust has settled from my London campaign.

2015 was the first year I managed 2000 miles and I want to beat that this year so I'm in. My actual target is 3000K, but I doubt there will be many others who use Kilometres!
