The wind, yes made it hard work in places! Seemed it was always strongest just as we hit a climb, especially that road out to Drayton.

So I am really pleased to have taken 6 and a 1/2 minutes off my PB! :)

Struggled from 21m onward but just dug in. Never felt quite as bad at the end of a race before, proper dizzy and wobbly!

Well done, StuH, particularly for demonstrating grit and determination!

I have gymmed, though I'd still rather be running.

I am now knitting a teddy bear's head.

Fab PB Stu, well done!bunting

Hope the dizzy spell was just temporary and that you’re okay now?

The wind did make things harder at times, though I’m glad it was better than the Saturday, that would have been really unpleasant.

Yep, all good now. Had to hang around for a good 2 hours, re-hydrating and refueling before I was fit to drive home. Oh and those showers were a godsend, I want showers at the end of every race now!

Sorry to hear your race didn't go so well Jenny.

Crikey, sounds scary, glad you’re okay now.

Thanks Stu - I wasn’t expecting great things, a bit quicker perhaps, but don’t think my mindset was right, then my legs didn’t want to work on the day either.

The showers were definitely appreciated - not sure about the mens, ours were cold but I actually think that helped as my legs feel much better today than they usually do post-marathon.
