Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Happy Monday, everybody! Excellent weekend running, all, well done! Sounds like there's a story there, IanS?

I did a long run from Leicester to Loughborough along the canal towpath yesterday. It didn't go well for several reasons, which I will refrain from whingeing/ranting about, but it was a lovely day for running and the route is a pleasant one. OH did the first few miles then turned back, because he sensibly doesn't do long distances, but he did take a terrific photo of a heron.

Came home on the train using my Old Lady Railcard, and OH cooked dinner for us, roast chicken and his excellent home-made chips.

Brilliant photo! Seem to be loads of Herons on my canal route at the moment, not at all bothered by me thundering past, one even refused to leave the towpath.

Lovely pic JK

My buttocks are fine Wobbler, thanks for asking though :-)

No particular story, just a lack of training due to injury but with the SW ultra starting about 5 miles from where I grew up it was always going to be hard to not do it this year, and when my brother decided to skip this marathon nonsense and go straight to an ultra I thought I'd better tag along to keep an eye on him. :-)

Good news about the buttocks IanS.

Not a big heron fan but a cracking photo.

Anyone else's buttocks hurt?

My buttocks are in top form, and have no reason not to be.

Some great effort put in over the weekend by you all.

Stu, those herons are used to people...I had one within 4-5 feet of me a couple of weeks ago. Great photo JK, those dangling legs always amuse me!!

My buttocks are fine, thanks, WW, though my feet are a bit sore and tired after yesterday's long run on a lot of uneven ground.
